Animal Advocate (image included)
Alyssa Epstein

Alyssa Epstein first became involved in animal welfare 5 years ago, when she was just 12 years old. Alyssa and a friend selected Emancipet as the beneficiary of their Bat and Bar Mitzvah fundraising projects. The duo raised funds by selling opportunities to appear in an Emancipet-branded, pet-themed calendar. Along with sales of the finished product, the fundraiser brought in $10,000 to support Emancipet’s programs to bring affordable, accessible spay/neuter and preventive veterinary care to pets in our community.
Since that time, She has volunteered at Emancipet’s East Austin clinic and volunteers to foster for Austin Pets Alive and the Austin Animal Center.
In 2013, Alyssa was served as junior co-chair for the Emancipet’s Free Love Luncheon. By hosting 3 tables, and recruiting another, Alyssa exceeded raised more than $15,000.
Alyssa Epstein is a shining example of the next generation of passionate fundraisers ready to inspire their peers with their generosity and passion.
